Lucy studied psychology and cognitive neuroscience at the University of Nottingham and has a masters in health services research from the University of York.  She undertook a PhD at York on the quality and safety of care for hospital patients who are admitted to wards that do not specialise in their health problem. Before joining KIS, Lucy worked at St George’s, University of London as a researcher on a project investigating the safety of care in NHS hospitals for people who have learning disabilities, and at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, evaluating the Department of Health and Social Care’s Public Health Responsibility Deal. Her research interests focus primarily on quality improvement, implementation science and patient safety.
