Professor Claire Henderson

Claire Henderson is professor of public mental health and director for the Centre for Implementation Science at the Health Service and Population Research Department, King’s College London, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience; and honorary consultant psychiatrist and academic director for the Quality Centre at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

Research interests

Her research addresses the disempowerment of people with mental illness due to the illness and to ensuing stigma and discrimination. Currently she co-leads a research programme funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research to evaluate Recovery Colleges and a project on implementing advance choice documents funded by the Maudsley Charity.
